Intimate Wedding Ceremony at Pyrmont Registry
The day began with a relaxed and intimate ceremony at the Pyrmont Wedding Registry. With only their closest loved ones present, Doreen and Alvin exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony filled with smiles and emotion.
The registry setting provided a simple yet elegant atmosphere, allowing the couple’s connection and emotions to truly shine. After officially becoming husband and wife, family and friends gathered outside for congratulations, hugs, and group photographs before we headed into Sydney city for location portraits.
Wedding Location Photos at Observatory Park
After the ceremony, we travelled to Observatory Park for bridal portraits. The park offered stunning greenery combined with beautiful views of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge, making it the perfect backdrop for romantic wedding photography.
Doreen looked absolutely elegant in her wedding gown while Alvin kept things classic and stylish in his suit. The soft afternoon light created a timeless atmosphere as we captured candid moments, natural laughter, and intimate portraits throughout the park.
Observatory Park is always one of our favourite Sydney wedding photography locations thanks to its combination of open greenery, harbour views, and relaxed atmosphere.
Exploring The Rocks for Wedding Photography
From Observatory Park, we continued to The Rocks for more location photography. The historic laneways, sandstone architecture, and charming streets gave the shoot a completely different feel compared to the greenery of the park.
Walking together through the cobblestone streets, Doreen and Alvin looked completely at ease with each other. The Rocks provided endless beautiful backdrops for wedding portraits, from historic buildings to hidden alleyways and city views.
The combination of Pyrmont, Observatory Park, and The Rocks created a wonderful variety of wedding photographs that perfectly captured both the elegance and fun of the day.
Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony & Reception in Chinatown
The celebration continued into the evening with a traditional Chinese wedding reception at a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. One of the highlights of the night was the traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where Doreen and Alvin served tea to family elders as a sign of respect and gratitude.
The tea ceremony was filled with meaningful traditions, emotional family moments, and joyful interactions between relatives and guests. These cultural moments always bring a special atmosphere to Chinese weddings and are incredibly meaningful to document.
Following the tea ceremony, guests enjoyed a delicious banquet dinner while family and friends shared heartfelt speeches and stories about the newlyweds. The reception was full of laughter, warm conversations, and energetic celebrations as everyone came together to celebrate Doreen and Alvin’s new journey together.
