Alexandra & Dejan’s wedding was a beautiful fusion of cultures, traditions, and heartfelt moments, set across some of Sydney’s most charming locations. As a wedding photographer Sydney, it’s always special to capture weddings that blend unique backgrounds—and this one was truly unforgettable. Alexandra, originally from Mauritius, and Dejan, with Serbian heritage, brought together two rich cultures in a day filled with meaning, family, and celebration.

A Traditional Ceremony at St George Serbian Orthodox Church
The day began with a traditional Serbian Orthodox ceremony at St George Serbian Orthodox Church in Cabramatta. The ceremony was deeply symbolic, with beautiful rituals that reflected Dejan’s heritage. From the crowning ceremony to the circular walk around the altar, every moment carried significance and elegance.
The atmosphere inside the church was both intimate and grand, making it a perfect setting for timeless wedding photography.

Location Shoot at Kissing Point Park
After the ceremony, we headed to Kissing Point Park Boat Ramp for the location shoot. With its peaceful waterfront views and soft natural light, it provided the perfect contrast to the formal church setting.
Alexandra & Dejan were incredibly natural in front of the camera—sharing laughs, quiet moments, and genuine emotions. The relaxed vibe of the park allowed us to capture a mix of romantic portraits and candid interactions, highlighting their connection beautifully.

Lauriston House – A Perfect Reception Venue
The celebration continued at Lauriston House in Dundas, one of Sydney’s most elegant heritage venues. As a Lauriston House wedding photographer, this venue always offers stunning backdrops—from its manicured gardens to its classic interiors.
We took advantage of the garden setting for more portraits before the reception began. The soft greenery and historic architecture created a timeless, romantic feel that perfectly suited Alexandra & Dejan’s style.

A Night of Celebration and Culture
The reception was filled with energy and emotion. Heartfelt speeches brought both laughter and tears, while the dance floor quickly came alive as guests celebrated late into the night.
One of the highlights was the traditional Mauritian dance, which added a vibrant cultural touch to the evening. It was a beautiful moment that brought everyone together and showcased Alexandra’s heritage in such a joyful way.

Capturing Love Across Cultures
Alexandra & Dejan’s wedding was a perfect example of how love brings cultures together. From the Serbian Orthodox traditions to the lively Mauritian celebrations, every part of the day told a unique story.
As a wedding photographer Sydney and Lauriston House wedding photographer, it’s moments like these that make the job so rewarding—capturing not just images, but meaningful stories that couples will treasure forever.
